If your car’s engine is designed for regular gas, using premium will not increase performance at all, and would therefore be a waste of money. On the other hand, using regular gas in engines designed for the slower burn of premium gas can cause serious damage. So, look for the label inside your fuel door or in your owner’s manual to see which type your car was designed for.
